Copa Americana Bogota 2017

Copa Americana is an athletic and cultural event, delivering an exciting challenge for teams and players looking for an unrestricted play style. This tournament features the best International Italian Soccer Academy, Milan Junior Camp and Milan Junior Elite Teams in each age category competing against clubs from USA, Aruba, Colombia, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, USA, Venezuela and more. This tournament is an exchange of experiences, culture and sport customs between South America, North America and the rest of the world while competing against the best International players seeking to win a 'No Pay to Play' award at the next Copa Americana tournament.

BOGOTABogota is the capital of Colombia and one of Latín America's most concurred cities. It is Colombia's largest city center. Bogota is a cultural leader with a city full of art displays, business oportunitues, entertainment and sports! Containing some of the most known Colombian historical museums and galleries, as well as House of the Congress, Supreme Court Justice and the center of the executive branch. Bogota is also home to a mix-full of Colombian heritage within its population of around 8 million people and some of the most historical soccer teams in Colombia. Bogota is located in the heart of Colombia approximately 8660 feet over sea level, and with an average temperature of 58°F. This city center is responsible for more than half of the tourism that arrives to Colombia and contains important landmarks and some of the most attractive tourist spots such as Monserrate, Mina de Sal, Maloka, Museo del Oro, the Colpatria observation point, La Candelaria, Via la Calera, Parque Jaime Duque, and many more.

GUEST PLAYERS

2006: 4 players

2004 through 1999: 5 Players

These players are allowed per team. These guests must be included on the roster and they count towards the roster limit.


MATCH LENGTH

2006: 9 v 9 two halves 25 minutes each

2004 and 1999: 11 v 11 two halves 30 minutes each

Each team will play a minimum of 4 games.


LAWS OF THE GAME

Games will be punctual - no exceptions. All games will be played under modified FIFA laws of the game as well as FYSA regulations. Full manual with the rules and regulations will be provided during team registration.


SCORING METHOD

Win = 3 points

Tie = 1 point

Loss = 0 points

In the elimination stage, if the score is tied at the end of regulation time, kicks from the penalty mark, as per FIFA laws will decide the match.

*Only teams that have taken accommodation packages can be eligible for awards if they reach the finals. Local teams are exempt from the accommodation package requirement if paid full registration fee. All rewards must be claimed by November 30, 2017, either by submitting rooming list or a formal request via email or written letter.
